We took over at the pub back in December 2006 from Angie & Peter Black and we were fortunate to inherit a wonderful set of locals and a hard working team.
The Brazier family started its pub career in 1961 at the Turks Head in St. Margarets, Twickenham. Under the inspired leadership of Fred & Edna, the 'Turks' gained a great reputation for fine food and great wines. Being very near to Twickenham Film Studios and the world famous rugby ground helped the pub to win a reputation, with many top stars using it as their watering hole.
We became tenants at the Turks Head in 1980 and left in 1999 when the Fullers Board decided that a manager would serve them better. From 2000 to 2006, we were lessees of the Europa Public House in East Molesey, Surrey.
Since arriving at the Tanners, we've kept the high standards our customers expect and rightly deserve, and worked hard to deliver a mix of real ales and great food.
We have created an atmosphere that allows people to relax and dogs are welcome guests. If you're a dog lover like us, you'll no doubt be introduced to our own, Sandor and Akira, who, at times, can be found wandering amongst our regulars.
We look forward to seeing you soon
Sigrun and Chris
