2006 CAMRA North Sussex pub of the year
Sigrun and Chris welcome you to the "Tanners" Free House, a popular independently run pub in the small village of Staplefield, West Sussex.
Ales
A constantly changing choice of cask ales is available from a wide selection of independent brewers.
Having been featured in nearly every edition of the Good Beer Guide for the last ten years, we were also listed in CAMRA's 2005 Good Cider Guide.
We are also very proud to be chosen as CAMRA North Sussex pub of the year for 2006, a title previously held by us in 2002.
For the last four years, we have held a beer festival over the May bank holiday. Photographs and beer lists are available on our beer festival site.
Food
Alongside the real ales, we aim to keep you well fed with our wide range of home cooked food. In addition to our standard menu we also have daily specials.
Tables are available in the dining room, both bars and in our colourful pub garden. Within watchful distance of the garden is a grassy play area for the children.
We hold a quiz night every Thursday, alternating between general knowledge and music.
Our "FAQ" section includes further infomation about us. If we have been unclear about anyting, please either telephone or email us.
